Save money by consolidating local government and school

There is a lot of waste and redundancy in local government and school districts. Consolidation and streamlining could save taxpayer dollars without cutting essential services; property taxes could be lowered as a result.

  1. This may or may not be feasible or desirable...a lot of people like the idea and it's worth discussing seriously BUT IT WON'T HELP IN THE SHORT TERM...

PEOPLE ARE IN DISTRESS RIGHT NOW DUE TO THE STRUCTURE OF THE CHAOTIC AND POSSIBLY UNCONSTITUTIONAL PROPERTY TAX...IT ISN'T BASED ON INCOME.....OUR LEGISLATORS KNOW---OR SHOULD KNOW--THIS SITUATION HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR THIRTY YEARS.

WE NEED RELIEF FIRST AND THEN REFORM OF THE ENTIRE STRUCTURE OF HOW WE FUND SERVICES.

THERE IS A BILL IN THE SENATE-S4239 THAT WOULD PLACE A LIMIT OF HOW MUCH TOTAL PROPERTY TAX ANYONE WOULD PAY BASED ON INCOME....AND THAT INCOME IS PHASED IN SO IN THE LAST YEAR OF THE PHASE -IN PEOPLE MAKING UP TO 250,000 WOULD GET RELIEF.......AND NOT AT THE EXPENSE OF NEIGHBORS...THE STATE WOULD PICK UP THE SLACK....

THERE IS ALSO A REFORM COMPONENT..LOG ON TO HTTP://WWW.OMNIBUSTAXSOLUTION.ORG/ AND HTTP://WWW.TAXNIGHTMARE.ORG/ TO GET THE LATEST NEWS.....AND TO READ THE BILL....YOUR PARTICIPATION IS CRUCIAL.
